During her tenure as a library director, she developed and published on Integrated Library Planning, a new model for strategic planning and assessment. She holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University and a Master of Divinity from Emory University. She has a practitioner diploma in executive coaching from the Academy of Executive Coaching, is a full member of the Association for Coaching, and is certified in the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument.
